🗣️ Free English Classes in Connecticut
Helping Our Community, One Conversation at a Time
I’m proud to offer free English classes for non-native speakers at public libraries in Connecticut—currently in Thomaston, with Torrington coming soon.
These classes are open to all ages and skill levels, with a special focus on helping children, parents, and newcomers feel more confident navigating daily life in English. From vocabulary and pronunciation to conversation and culture—we keep it relaxed, encouraging, and fun.
📍 Where We Teach
Thomaston Public Library

(Exact schedule posted at the library or contact me for details)
Torrington Public Library (coming soon!)
Launching soon—volunteers welcome now!
👋 Want to Help?
We’re always looking for volunteers who can:
Help with conversation practice
Read with children
Assist beginners with simple English phrases
Just bring good energy and encouragement!
You don’t need teaching experience—just a kind heart and a willingness to help.
💛 Want to Support the Program?
Your donations help us keep these classes running and growing.
We use donations to cover:
Learning materials and books
Snacks and drinks for the kids’ classes
Pencils, folders, printing, and basic supplies
And most importantly—saving toward our own space.
Right now, we teach in small library rooms that fill up fast. With more students attending every week, we’re dreaming bigger:
A space of our own where we can run multiple classes, host community events, and build a more welcoming hub for English learners in Connecticut.
Even small donations go a long way toward making that happen.
To donate or get involved, send me a message through my [contact form] or email me directly at [insert email address].
🌎 Why This Matters
Language opens doors—to jobs, friendships, healthcare, education, and everyday confidence. Many of our students are new to the U.S., and learning English is their first step toward building a new life here.
These classes are free, community-based, and 100% powered by volunteers and goodwill.
